Specialty coffee beans roasted in Slovenia I started Banibeans because I was searching for a coffee that was truly fruity, vibrant, and lightly roasted — something that would highlight the variety, country of origin rather than roast flavors. I fell in love with bright acidity, fresh aromatics, and juicy flavor profiles that make each cup feel alive. From the beginning, my focus has been on sourcing coffees that are expressive, clean, and full of character.

For us—even though we’re a rather sleepy bunch of guys—hot beverages aren't just a necessary evil; they are a way of life and a passion.

OUR APPROACH We are Katja and Omar, the founders of the Escobar roastery. When Omar moved from Honduras to Slovenia, he searched in vain for fresh, aromatic, full-flavored coffee. That is why we decided to bring premium coffees from small farms to Slovenia, offering seasonal, high-quality, and freshly roasted coffee at an affordable price. A great deal of work goes into every bean before it even reaches the roastery; our roaster, Omar, understands the vital importance of roasting the coffee so that it truly shines and reveals its authentic character in the cup. We roast our coffee daily based on demand and never keep it in long-term storage.
