Sensory Cup 2026: Results

Sensory Cup 2026 at Vrhnika Coffee Festival was bigger and more exciting than ever! Ten of Slovenia’s best coffee tasters competed for a prize fund of over €1,500. Toni Ćosić from Lau Cafe, Jesenice, took first place, followed by Sabin Alexandru Minea from Mala Prazarna and Natalie Makarkina in third. The championship was made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and partners. Coffee was provided by Escobar Coffee Roasters and prepared on Moccamaster brewers using a single recipe, ensuring equal conditions for all competitors. The tradition of sensory competitions in Slovenia continues, and ZSKS is already preparing an even bigger and better championship for next year!

Sensory Cup 2026 at Vrhnika Coffee Festival was bigger, richer and more exciting than ever before!

Slovenia now has a new TOP 3 of coffee tasters, while the audience enjoyed a true sensory show. Ten of the country’s best tasters competed for the title and a prize fund of more than €1,500.

The winner of Sensory Cup 2026 was TONI ĆOSIĆ, master roaster from Lau Cafe, Jesenice. Second place went to Sabin Alexandru Minea, Head Barista and Roaster at Mala Prazarna, while Natalie Makarkina, an excellent barista, took third place.

The coffee for the championship was provided by Escobar Coffee Roasters. All coffees were prepared on Moccamaster brewers using a single recipe, with competitors facing each other in pairs under equal conditions.

The tradition of coffee tasting competitions in Slovenia continues! And here at ZSKS, we are already working on making next year’s championship even bigger, better and more exciting.
